The Pacifica Parks, Beaches and Recreation Commission will hold its monthly meeting tonight at 7 p.m. at City Council Chambers, 2212 Beach Blvd. The agenda includes an update on Child Care and a Study Session follow-up.

Small business owners in Pacifica, should take note of the free Small Business Seminar and Resource Expo "Strategies for Success in Today's Economy" sponsored by Fiona Ma, CPA, Member of the California State Board of Equalization, District 2, and Small Business Development Center (SBDC).

Those invited to present at the February 5 event include: the Small Business Administration, the Small Business Development Center, the California State Board of Equalization, the Employment Development Department, the Franchise Tax Board and the Internal Revenue Service. Topics include: Marketing Your Business, Recordkeeping, Basics of Sales and Use Tax, Forms of Ownership, Employee or Independent Contractor, and SBA Loan Program and Services.
